Carl Rayford Roberts is a published author and mystery writer who developed a lifelong appreciation for Western history and literature at an early age. A graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a Master’s Degree in History, he lives in Mississippi with his wife, Karen. Together they are the proud parents of two daughters, Amy and Jill. 

A contemporary writer and avid reader of murder mysteries, Author Carl Rayford Roberts drew on these passions for Blood in the Dust, a collection of nine Old West stories, and his venture into detective fiction.
